Gross margin vs. net margin

Gross margin looks at the product after base cost and fulfillment. Net margin is the real number after marketplace fees, fixed order fees, shipping gaps, ads, and promos.

Pricing rule of thumb

If your net margin is under 15%, you need serious volume or a customer acquisition advantage. For most small sellers, 25-35% is a safer POD target.
